The only thing i would change is the lighting of the ores when they are completely in the dark (surrounded by blocks), but I’m not sure if that can be done with a resource pack alone.
The textures of the ores also change to a simpler color representation scheme, red for redstone, teal for diamond, etc. I recommend going to y=8 and looking up so that you have the contrast with the daytime sky. The ores appear dark (not illuminated) until you clear one of the surrounding blocks and place a torch nearby, so it can be difficult to know which one is which at first, and since the lower background is also dark, it’s difficult to see them when looking down. Cobblestone is not included so it can be used as a reference to mark already established paths. It makes stone, dirt, gravel, diorite, granite and andesite transparent. I’m running 1.15.2 and although it says “incompatible” when you select it, it works without problems.
